Agricola Gatta located in the eastern area of Franciacorta and more precisely on the Stella hill, due to it being at an altitude of 370 metres dominates over the towns of Cellatica and Gussago, places which have a strong wine history. Reference to the good wine of Cellatica is found dating back to the CV century, in fact, in this small area we produce, not only the renowned Franciacorta but also a red wine which has been neglected for some time called the Cellatica Superior Negus that takes its name from the founder of the wine history of the Gatta family. Angelo Gatta nicknamed “Negus” planted the first vines in the 1960's and still today they produce this intriguing wine.
The vineyard covers an area of 28 hectares which roam the hills of Cellatica, Gussago, Rodendo Saiano, Monticelli Brusati and Capriolo. Areas with calcareous clay soils that contribute to giving a unique particularity to all its products; for this reason we are convinced, and we like to proclaim .. one land, one wine…
I have chosen not to spend too many words to present and describe the products, as I want them to tell their own story.
